A companion volume to Nature Conservation: The Role of Remnants of Vegetation, this book presents the proceedings a workshop held in Australia in 1989. Fragmentation of native vegetation is as serious a problem as actual habitat loss, but if such isolated patches are linked by corridors of vegetation, the effects are lessened. The chapters in this book cover inventory and assessment of corridors, values of corridors, movement of biota, and management, establishment, maintenance and rehabilitation.
