"The Fourth National Symposium - "Noni Search 2009", with a theme on Noni for Empowerment and Prosperity“ was successfully conducted during 24-25 October, 2009 at the Image Auditorium, Chennai, India.

This symposium had live fnvited papers and 26 oral presentations in five technical sessions from eminent scientists, research scholars, medical doctors and pharmacologists. The papers were focused primarily on enhancing production and productivity of Noni, ecofriendly approaches to manage insect pests of Noni, technology to improve efficacy of Noni products, clinical benefits of Noni for health and wellness and nutritional security and female empowerment.

Many success stories on the use and benefits of Indian divine Noni-food supplements were also presented, especially the one on Psoriasis with amazing results in the sixth session. Besides the above five technical sessions there were inaugural and plenary Sessions. A separate poster session was also held. in which 16 posters were presented under various technical sessions.

This publication is yet another useful addition to the existing documentation on Noni which will provide ample information to suggest future thrusts of researoh on all aspects of Noni. This will also be usefull for researchers, scholars, planners and policy makers involved in Noni."
