About this book

Language: English

Revision of the family Oecophoridae of China. A total of 215 species in 28 genera are recognized. 200 of these species and 22 of these genera are assigned to Oecophorinae; and 15 species in six genera are assigned to Stathmopodinae. Two new genera are proposed, 38 new species are described, two new combinations are established.

The morphology of each genus is described and illustrated. Descriptions of the adults and male and female genitalia of each species are provided, with full synonymy and references to the original descriptions. The work is illustrated by 15 SEMs of the heads of representative genera, 15 color plates of 215 pinned adults, 381 photographs of mounted male and female genitalia, and 28 line drawings of wing venation. Available data on the geographical distribution, biology and host plants are included. Keys to the two subfamilies, genera, and species under each genus are provided.
