About this book

Oil and gas exploration or hydrocarbon exploration is the search by petroleum geologists and geophysicists for hydrocarbon deposits beneath the Earth's surface, such as oil and natural gas. The study of oil and gas complexes and intrusions occurring in sedimentary basins is thus necessary to identify the location of oil and gas fields and for making accurate predictions on oil findings.

Oil and Gas Exploration is devoted to solving theoretical and practical problems, linked with the problem of finding new oil and gas deposits, novel methods of control on the outworking of these deposits using different geophysical methods, which are not included in the system GIS and which are significant for optimizing of mining hydrocarbon and carbonate deposits. Moreover by estimating the degree of outworking of the oil and gas deposit, often space time monitoring of different kinds of fields is used. For analysis of that data, a perfect system processing is required, based on strong methods proven mathematically. Summarizing the results, which are presented in Oil and Gas Exploration, can be useful for theoreticians, linked with oil and gas prospecting and for people who work practically for solving the problem of oil and gas mining optimization.

Oil and Gas Exploration will be valuable to exploration geophysicists, petroleum engineers, geoengineers, petrologists, mining engineers and economic geologists who would gain insights into exploring the new methods involved in finding natural resources from our earth.
