About this book

In pursuit of their animal subjects, artists Olly & Suzi situate themselves in the subject's natural habitat; approaching as close as possible and working in tandem, they quickly capture it on paper using the day's particular combination of paints, brushes, burnt sticks or natural pigments, and then submit the finished portrait to be paw-printed, bitten, or otherwise authenticated by the subject. The works that survive are spare, vibrant and lyrical.

Media reviews
Our art-making process is concerned with a collaborative, mutual response to nature at its most primitive and wild. We aim to document the passing of animals and habitats that are here now, but may not be for much longer. - Olly & Suzi.
