About this book

Peixes-de-Bico do Atlântico was produced by scientists in order to encourage conservation of these magnificent marine animals. In 108 illustrated pages the authors, researchers Alberto Amorim, Eduardo Pimenta and journalist Christina Amorim sum up over 30 years of studies on the blue marlin, white marlin, roundscale spearfish, sailfish, spearfish and swordfish.

The Marlim project has the cooperation of sports fishermen in different parts of Brazil, who adopted the form of catch & release and tag & release in their tournaments, assisting in studies on growth rates, mortality and migration of these fish.
