Language: French; where names are available, species names are given in Latin, and, when they exist in that language, common names are also given in French, English, Nepalese, as well as several local languages: Dzongkha, Bumthangkha, Tongsa, and Sharchopkha or Tchanglakha. Furthermore, Tibetan medical names are given for some species, and some names are written out in Dzonghka.
This pocket guide describes several hundred flowering plants found in Bhutan, ordered by flower colour. Each species entry contains a short text in French describing locality, morphology and defining characteristics.
