This is a French translation of the well-known Collins Bird Guide.

Describing 713 bird species common to Europe and North Africa, this second edition has been expanded with an additional 48 pages, and describes 41 new species. Twenty-four plates have been redrawn, and numerous taxonomical changes have been taken into account.

Le présent ouvrage traite de l’ensemble des oiseaux qui nichent ou peuvent être observés régulièrement en Europe, en Afrique du Nord, ainsi que dans une grande partie du Moyen-Orient. 713 espèces sont décrites dans le corps de l’ouvrage.

La nouvelle édition, augmentée de 48 pages, décrit 41 nouvelles espèces et contient un grand nombre d’illustrations inédites (dont 24 nouvelles planches) ainsi que la mise à jour des 900 cartes de répartition. Elle prend en compte les changements taxonomiques qui ont eu lieu depuis la précédente édition.
