Photographer and writer Rob Brown has been tramping in some of the most remote areas of New Zealand for over two decades. Rob Brown is one of New Zealand’s leading landscape photographers and writers. His work has appeared in many publications, including Rakiura: The Wilderness of Stewart Island, the award-winning Classic Tramping in New Zealand (co-authored with Shaun Barnett) and Shelter from the Storm: The Story of New Zealand’s Backcountry Huts (co-authored with Shaun Barnett and Geoff Spearpoint) which won a NZ Post Book Award in 2013. His photographs also feature in many calendars, including his own Wild Landscapes. He lives with his family in Wanaka.
