The book consists of general part discussing the features of the Serbian butterfly fauna, the reasons and factors for endangerment and ways of protection. Further the book is divided into the following parts: extinct, endangered, vulnerable, rare and not treatened species, respectively. Each species and its dot distributional map are depicted in colour and largely discussed in terms of species biology, areal changes, distribution, subspecies classification, conservation status and protection.
