The first two volumes in a planned 3-volume series on the flycatchers of the equatorial rainforests of Gabon in west-central Africa. The first volume discusses the comparative morphology and niche parameters of the 30 species in the area. The second volume describes the ecology and behaviour of the 13 species of the subfamily Muscicapinae. The final volume will similarly deal with the subfamilies Platysteirinae and Monarchinae. The text is in French, with an English summary.
