The Field Studies Council’s handy fold-out identification guides are designed to be used outdoors and to help identify a huge range of Britain’s plants and animals.
Each of the FSC’s fold-out identification charts are weather-proof and they have an eclectic range, from a guide to identifying wildlife typically found in cemeteries, a guide to common British seashells, a guide to identifying the UK’s most common insects, a guide to identifying mosses and liverworts found in towns and gardens, and one on using a lichen-based index to measure nitrogen air quality. Ideal for those days when you don’t want to carry a hefty field guide around with you.
