Geological Conservation Review Series (Kluwer)

The Geological Conservation Review (GCR) was initiated in 1977 to assess, document and ultimately publish descriptions of the most important geological sites in mainland Great Britain. This series, published by Chapman and Hall on behalf of the Joint Nature Conservation Committee (JNCC) will present GCR research, describing and assessing key sites in the context of a portion of the geological column, or a geological, palaeontological or mineralogical topic. The description and interpretation of each site will show why a locality is of scientific interest and why it should be conserved. 40 volumes in the series are planned.
