This series aims to unite both traditional and modern approaches to lepidopterology. It explores the achievements of traditional lepidopterologists by documenting major collections, both as a historical tribute to people who set them up but also as a starting point for addressing future research. It also presents emerging directions and ideas in lepidopterology, stemming from, amongst others, metapopulation studies, ecological modelling, and evo-devo research.
