Superb series which makes available for the first time a wide range of baseline data about one of the world's richest biological areas. The books are aimed at general readers, although the level of detail and the difficulty in obtaining comparative materials on Indonesia's flora, fauna, and ecosystems make them a valuable resource for ecologists, conservationists, and resource managers. Each volume contains between 800 and 1200 pages, with hundreds of photographs, line drawings, tables and maps.
