Catalogue et Atlas des Coleopteres d'Alsace [Catalogue and Atlas of the Coleoptera of Alsace]

This French series describes all the beetles species found in the French region of the Alsace, which is located on France's eastern border and on the west bank of the upper Rhine adjacent to Germany and Switzerland. The volumes include distribution maps, but do not illustrate individual species.

Realised over a period of 22 years, the 18 volumes contain 17 plates and 4,142 distribution maps with a 5 × 5 km grid. More than 100 families and 4,000 species are covered, based on more than 105,000 data points. More than a million specimens were identified by the all collaborators during the duration of this project.
