Index Kewensis is one of the most important reference works for the botanist working on flowering plants. It is an ennumeration of the genera and species of flowering plants from the time of Linnaeus up to 1990. The 2 main volumes cover the period from Linnaeus to the year 1885, with 21 supplementary volumes continuing up to 2000.
