Contains 191 pages of Molluscan scientific names constructed from mostly Latin and Greek roots. It is organized into twenty chapters, each dealing with a unique character by which a shell might be described; size, colour, pattern, etc. The chapters present the "word elements" in an orderly fashion and give examples of their use in molluscan nomenclature. There is also a thirteen page index of word elements to assist in finding examples of their use.
