Decline in toad population
Research led by UK charity Froglife has shown that despite the best efforts of 'Toads on Roads' volunteers, who steward the migrating amphibians to their breeding ponds across busy roads, the common toad (Bufo bufohas declined by 68% over the last 30 years.
