Record numbers of migrant butterfly in UK 
This year has seen record numbers of the Long-tailed Blue butterfly along the South coast, the second time in three years. This Mediterranean species has appeared in vastly increased numbers that experts suggest are a result of climate change.

Agreement on South Korean coastal wetland
The Geum Estuary wetland in the Republica of Korea is a vital stopover for migrating shorebirds like the Great Knot and the Far Eastern Curlew. The signing of a new Memorandum of Understanding means that the Seocheon County government with be working with BirdLife International to protect this important site.
