This week, The Life Scientific on BBC Radio 4 featured Kate Jones, Professor of Ecology and Biodiversity at UCL and the Institute of Zoology. She talks about her great efforts in bat conservation, the Citizen Science project The Bat Detective, and the ecology of zoonoses.

Baby beavers born in Devon
We were thrilled to hear the news this week that one of the beavers in the River Otter colony in Devon has given birth to a litter of kits. The video in this article from The Guardian shows them taking their first swim.
