The Snake Cam Observation Kit is a remarkable high quality inspection tool for use in a variety of environmental applications. The Snake Cam Kit
includes;
* Camera with inbuilt LED illumination
* TFT-LCD hand-held display monitor
* Rigid Wand Adaptor with 90 degree swivel capability.
The Snake Cam is highly portable, and with a modular design, you can customise the unit to your specialist needs.
Snake Cam Camera
The Snake Cam camera can record direct to a laptop or camcorder. The camera and accessories are waterproof to a depth of 30m (100 foot). With built-in LED lights, the camera can operate in complete darkness.
Snake Cam `SnakeEye' Display Unit
The Snake Cam display unit with this kit is the SnakeEye Mark 2. It is very compact and has a rotating screen so that, regardless of the camera orientation, the picture can always be viewed the right way up. You can record footage on to a laptop or camcorder but there is no on-board recording facility. An on-board recording facility is available with Snake Cam Observation Kit with Built-in Recorder. The SnakeEye display unit is also waterproof to a depth of 6 metres. The display unit features a Lexan outer cover for heavy duty protection.
Customise your Snake Cam
The Snake Cam was originally developed for Search and Rescue teams, but was quickly adopted by Law Enforcement Agencies and the Manufacturing sector. Environmental professionals are now benefiting from its modular design as it's possible to customise the Snake Cam for the specific purposes you need it for. All the Snake Cam accessories can be found here. Examples of how you can customise your Snake Cam include;
* For high inspection work without the need for ladders: Telescopic camera pole
* For extended use (6 hrs continuous use): Belt battery pack
* For inspection of very small crevices: Mini Scope Cam OR C Mount Camera (which allows you to attach your existing borescope to the Snake Cam and still view footage on the SnakeEye monitor)
* For when you want the camera and SnakeEye display unit up to 30 metres apart: Extension cable
* For inspecting wildlife whilst minimising disturbance: IR camera
* For exceptionally rugged inspection work: Camera protective cover
* For use in bright places: Sun shield hood
The modular design of the Snake Cam means you can combine accessories as required. So for inspecting crevices at height without leaving the ground or disturbing the bats, etc, you can use the Telescopic camera pole and IR Camera with the basic Snake Cam kit.
