Aims to replace RCH Sweeney's Snakes of Nyasaland. Wilkey has been studying and collecting Malawi snakes for the last 25 years. His book offers colour photographs of each species, with Latin, common and local names. A full description of each snake, including length, colouration, scale counts, distribution, habits, reproduction, diet, longevity and bite details with treatment is provided.
