The Sudan Post Conflict Environmental Assessment provides an overview of environmental status and issues for Sudan and its territorial waters of the Red Sea.
It focuses on linkages between the environment, conflict and the ongoing humanitarian and development programmes. Topics addressed include environmental institutions and legislation, the marine and freshwater environments, agricultural land use and degradation, forestry, wildlife conservation and protected areas and the impact and environmental resource needs of displaced populations. The report is based upon a combination of desk study work, remote sensing and field reconnaissance missions.
