About this book

Language: Chinese

This book describes the Irtysh River and its tributaries (which runs through Russia, China, and Kazakhstan), the status quo of Ulungur Lake (Fuhai County, Xinjiang, China), and the Tarim River and its tributaries (the principal river of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region). It discusses aquatic resources such as fish species, proposes a list of endangered fish species, and a conservation priority list, the factors influencing changes in these species, especially for rare and valuable fish resources and aquatic animals, and reasons for protection. It also discusses the current problematic situation of cold water fish resources in the Xinjiang region. On the basis of available information on endangered aquatic species, an evaluation method is given in a supplement.
