About this book

Language: Swedish with English summaries

This is the second of three planned volumes. The purpose of this atlas is to give an overview of the available recoveries from different species. One of the aims has been to make it easy for the reader to compare the results between different species. Even if the presentations in some instances are detailed, the purpose has not been to make complete scientific treatments. One idea is that the presentations shoulc act as an inspiration to perform more detailed analyses in the future. The Swedish Recovery Atlas will also be important when planning future bird ringing activity in Sweden. Included are accounts of 94 species showing ringing sites for recovered birds on a map, ringing statistics, maps, circular statistics, recovery statistics, and a life table. This volume deals with species from Grouse to Woodpecker.
