About this book

Presents the findings of a thorough survey of bird and large mammal species at Barito Ulu, central Kalimantan conducted from 23rd July to the 14th September 1989 by three British and two Indonesian ornithologists. Three forested sites were surveyed. A total of 221 bird species were recorded of which 190 species were forest dependent residents, 120 to the Sundra sub-region and 15 endemic to Borneo. Five threatened and seven near-threatened species were recorded, yielding new ecological, distributional and altitudinal records.
