An educational CD-ROM which uses Port Philip Bay in Australia as the location for the role-playing game dealing with the management of water quality in a bay. The user manages the bay over a ten year period. During that time five major problems are tackled, all of which are randomly selected from 18 scenarios - including a freak storm, dying penguins, algal blooms, pollution and killer starfish. The aim is to finish with the Bay as healthy as (or healthier than) when you start. During the game, you become acquainted with concepts such as ecosystems, food webs, biological indicators, toxicants, introduced species, and sewerage and stormwater systems.
