Biography
David Cooper is Professor of Human Molecular Genetics at the University of Wales College of Medicine in Cardiff. He also holds the title of honorary consultant in Molecular Genetic Medicine at the University Hospital of Wales. His research interests have focused largely on mutational spectra and genotype-phenotype relationships in a variety of different inherited disorders, gene expression, and more recently molecular evolution. He has written or co-authored numerous books, most recently Human Gene Evolution (1999) and is the European editor for the journal Human Genetics.
