About this book

This compact volume is an unchanged reissue of a 1966 compilation of more than 10,000 botanical and related terms from soil science, statistics, and biochemistry, plus cross-references. Although one could mention various faults and irritations, these do not detract materially from what is undoubtedly a very thoughtful and diligently planned and executed work. Its emphasis is decidedly historical, and thus invaluable for obsolete taxonomic groups and terms.
