Covers 274 species of the nymphalid subfamilies Limenitidinae, Apaturinae, and Charaxinae with colour plates of nearly 1200 specimens. Over 345 specimens of type status are illustrated, many for the first time since their description. Both sexes and both surfaces of the wings of all species are figured. Two new species and 24 subspecies are described for the first time.
