Language: English.
This is the first flora of this region to be published in English. It contains stunning photographs and maps; a history of botanical exploration; orography and Geology of the Caucasus; climate information; plant descriptions of 509 species; and an index of plant names.
The flora of the Caucasus has been described in detail several times during the last 200 years - probably no one other territory in the world has had so many written floras as the Caucasus. All these Caucasian floras, however, have one common feature: they have no, or only a few illustrations. Up to now, no photographic picture book on the Caucasian flora has been published and this book is an attempt to fill this gap.
