This greatly enlarged edition (a 55% enlargement of the original, plus 20 new plates) includes not only the original text but also a supplement in which each species account is revised and new or resurrected species are treated in detail. Species accounts are arranged as in the original edition: synonymy, diagnosis, description, tadpoles, mating call, natural history, remarks, etymology, and distribution.
