Beginner's Guide to Bird Songs of North America comprises an introduction and eight lessons. Each of the first seven lessons, has a self testing quiz with answers in the booklet. The eighth lesson is a review of the different bird groups. Each species has its own track to allow easy access to the birder. It provides tips on bird identification, habitats and distribution. Comparing and contrasting eastern and western species is a bit of a challenge and therefore they have made a big effort to simplify the issue.
