The book, in three parts, takes one a pictorial journey across the majestic Himalayas, across borders, from the land of the rising sun in the east to the extreme west; from Himalayan foothills to Trans-Himalayan regions, Himalayan wonders that in times to come, may not be the same. Included are pictorial articles to put to rest the controversy on the melting state of Himalayan glaciers, the feeders of major rivers of the North-West Himalayas and the life support of the Indo-Gangetic plain. Finally “Future Shock" shows what we are heading for with catastrophic consequences, not only for the mountain folk, but for the people of plains: a looming environment disaster.
