About this book

Language: English

The book on Gangtok's Raj Bhavan, a brainchild of His Excellency the Governor of Sikkim Shri Balmiki Prasad Singh, with suggestions from Shri S. T. Lachungpa IFS PCCF cum Secretary, Forests, grew from a pictorial booklet to a magazine to a full blown hard-bound book. Meant to help introduce the lay person to the marvels of nature and document the extant biodiversity of the Raj Bhavan campus at Gangtok, capital of Sikkim, India, the book has an easy flowing text made as pictorial as possible, with over 200 photographs of flora and fauna duly identified and introduced in addition to exotic flora and aerial views. While complete enumeration would be an ongoing process for some years to come, this book seeks to entice the reader to fall in love with the wonderland that is Sikkim, represented by Raj Bhavan, Gangtok, in this instance.
