Title information
This book is a celebration of the islands that surround the shores of `the mainland'. New Zealand is an assemblage of incredibly numerous islands scattered over a broad expanse of ocean. Depending on your definition of an island there are in fact hundreds some say as many as 800 and they range in size from Stewart Island, at 1680 square kilometres, to rock stacks that are little more than sites for gannet colonies or hazards to navigation.
