Contains the definitions of each of the terrestrial and feshwater types of the biodiversity Broad Habitat Classification. It also contains tables that show the relationship of this classification with a number of other habitat classifications. The Broad Habitat Classification was first published by the Biodiversity Steering Group in 1995, but was subsequently reviewed under direction of the UK Targets Group. The definitions given in this report are for the revised version of the Broad Habitat Classification as published by the UK Biodiversity Group in 1998.
