This two-CD set is a celebration of natural habitats in Britain through the seasons, from a bleak, wintry valley in Scotland to a gentle summer's morning in England. Some of the recordings convey the remote wilderness of Britain's countryside, such as the loch-strewn bogs of the Flow Country. Others are from habitats greatly altered or even created by man: one track features a water park in a disused gravel pit which has now become an important site for nature conservationists.
