40 pages, Figs, tabs
Focuses on the life of selected raw materials (plastics, paper, metals, glass and organic materials) and explores the impact that they have on the environment. All journeys begin with a context that young people can relate to and then moves them on to a deeper understanding. Throughout the journey there are quizzes and assignments that require the user to move away from the computer screen. Also includes a teacher's guide, suggesting ways of using the material and providing advice on how to use the CD-ROM, both as a vehicle for environmental education and as a rich context for literacy and numeracy.
