Language: English with bilingual summary in English and Spanish
The Ecuadorean species of the subfamilies Centothecoideae and Arundinoideae of Gramineae have been revised. In the Centothecoideae there is one tribe, Centotheceae, with two genera: Orthoclada (1 sp.) and Zeugites (1 sp.). In Arundinoideae there are two tribes, Arundineae with six genera: Danthonia (2 spp.), Cortaderia (5 spp.), Lamprothyrsus (1 sp.), Arundo (1 sp.), Phragmites (1 sp.), and Gynerium (1 sp. with 3 var.), and Aristideae with one genus, Aristida (9 spp.). Two species are described as new: Danthonia Holm-Nielsenii Lægaard and Aristida guayllabambensis Lægaard. All species are illustrated.
