About this book

Baldi argues that recent scientific advances in connection with human genetics portend the disappearance of our sense of self, which evolved to cope with primarily physical conditions, as opposed to the abstraction and fluidity of today's environment.

The things we do not want to look at are sometimes the most revealing of who we are. They will ultimately shatter the last illusions that have accompanied us during our evolutionary bootstrap. - from the preface"
