Provides a guide to over 275 common and/or noteworthy flowering plants of the Texas beaches and islands of the Rio Grande to the Louisiana border. Each plant is illustrated by a colour photograph, accompanied by a description of its appearance, habitat, and blooming time. "This is definitely the book I've wished I had on visits to the coast! [...] Beachcombers, naturalists (amateur and professional), some fishermen, students, cottage owners, and perhaps especially birders will want this book."
- Tom Wendt, Curator, Plant Resources Center, University of Texas at Austin
