Conservation Agriculture is the term given to sustainable production systems achieved by good farming practice. There are 3 general principles which must be applied: no mechanical soil disturbance, direct seeding or planting; permanent soil cover, making particular use of crop residues and cover crops; and judicious choice of crop rotations. This volume brings together the key notes, lectures and other outstanding contributions of the World Congress on Conservation Agriculture. Provides an updated view of the environment and economic advantages of Conservation Agriculture and of its implementation in different parts of the world.
