Covers all 564 species known to occur in the West Indies and uses the plates from the acclaimed "Birds of the West Indies" by the same authors. It has concise text on facing pages covering all aspects of field identification and is lightweight and easy to use.
...The species accounts are generally very good, the book is well illustrated and there is no other with the same scope. I thoroughly recommend it.

I did a lot of reviewing for bird identification books for our forthcoming trip to Cuba and this book came out tops. Very well laid out and the images are very good. What I like most about the book is the description and images are on opposite pages making it easy and quick to identify the birds. Although it has not yet been put to the test I just know this book is an excellent choice.
