Volume 36 covers the family Hippocrateaceae, which is a pantropical family that in tropical America consists of 12 genera and some 120 species. In Paraguay it is represented by eight genera (Elachyptera, Anthodon, Hippocrata, Peritassa, Pristimera, Salacia, Semailarium, Tontelea) and nine species. Two keys to genera are included, one based on floral traits, one on characteristics of the fruit.
