In it, the author discusses different painting materials and techniques, flower and foliage types and shapes, and also how to arrange the flowers to make the most attractive picture. There is also a chapter on how to frame the completed work. There are demonstrations in different media which allow the reader to follow an artist through the course of a painting from the planning stage to completion. The volume concludes with a gallery of over 30 paintings by contemporary artists, covering the whole range of flower painting and all the various media.
