A CD-ROM containing video sequences of 24 species of North Atlantic cetaceans has been assembled by the Sea Watch Foundation. The aim of the CD is to help with the identification of the main species of whales and dolphins living in the North Atlantic, North Sea and Mediterranean Sea. The following species are shown: Harbour Porpoise, Bottlenose Dolphin, Common Dolphin, Striped Dolphin, Atlantic Spotted Dolphin, Fraser's Dolphin, White-beaked Dolphin, Atlantic white-sided Dolphin, Rough-toothed Dolphin, Risso's Dolphin, Long-finned Pilot Whale, Melon-headed Whale, False Killer whale, Killer Whale, Northern Bottlenose Whale, Cuvier's Beaked Whale and many more.
As well as separate video sequences for each species there is a general user guide, fact files (giving status and key ID features) for each species, as well as a map showing its distribution. A table gives local names for each of the 24 species in 12 different languages.
