This book is a celebration of Te Wahipounamu, the South-West New Zealand World Heritage area, through the photography of Andris Apse, an acclaimed photographer of New Zealand's wilderness landscapes.
Covering a huge 2.6 million hectares, or about ten percent of New Zealand's land area, Te Wahipounamu combines four National Parks ( Mount Cook, Westland, Mount Aspiring and Fiordland), and a large area of South Westland lowland forest, into a single contiguous entity in the south-west of the South Island.
