About this book

The second edition of Vingar över Falsterbo is now available in English. It is so much more than a revised edition of previous editions. A lot has happened on the bird front. Among other things, new modern technology has been developed to follow individual birds during migration. The book initially gives the reader a natural history look back at Falsterbo. In addition to describing the mysteries of bird migration and migratory bird research at Falsterbo Bird Station, the bird year is described in detail. A guide to bird locations and an updated species list of bird species seen in Vellinge municipality in Sweden are also in the book. But it's not just birds that fly on Falsterbo. That is why migrating bats and butterflies as well as mosquitoes have been given their own chapters in the new book.
